Experience-based education
- Visit to Toyota Eco Zone: Checkpoint 2 and IGCSE learners
The main objective of the trip was to learn about environmental conservation, biodiversity, and how we can contribute to a sustainable future. It was also aimed at encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly habits and appreciate nature.
Activities Conducted:
Guided Nature Walk: Students explored various plant species, trees, and insects. The resource person explained how each plays a role in maintaining ecological balance.
Waste Segregation Workshop: A short workshop was conducted on how to separate dry and wet waste, and why recycling is important, the concepts of 3R and methods of composting.
Rain water harvesting: The resource person gave an insight on how the whole of Toyota manufacturing unit relies on this harvested rain water and only 10% of the fresh water used for cooking and drinking purpose is supplied to them by the Bidadi water supply.




2. Reliance Stationery Store: Primary Programme 1 to Checkpoint 3 learners
Objective: Real-World Application of Math Skills, Building Financial Literacy, Fostering Decision-Making and Responsibility, Encouraging Creative and Critical Thinking
Practical Math Skills: Estimating total cost, calculating discounts, and understanding
price units.
Communication & Etiquette: Practising polite conversation, greetings, and responsible behavior in a public space.
Financial Awareness: Differentiating between needs vs. wants, and understanding the importance of budgeting.
Observation & Curiosity: Noticing product arrangements, price differences, eco-friendly alternatives, and packaging types.
Teamwork & Confidence: Collaborating with peers during shopping and managing small group tasks.



3. A visit to Centre for Nano Science and soft matter- National level Science Institution
As part of their experiential learning journey, learners visited the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences in Bangalore. During the visit, they explored key concepts in nanoscience and soft matter, gaining first-hand insights into their real-world applications.
The engaging and educational experience not only deepened their understanding of cutting-edge scientific fields but also sparked a greater curiosity for science and innovation. This event was organized to cultivate a scientific temper. The visit offered young learners valuable exposure to a premier national-level research institution.



4. A visit to BGS wholesale vegetable market
The market visit was an enriching integrated experiential learning activity that encouraged active participation and holistic growth.
The visit successfully connected classroom knowledge to real-life experiences. Learners demonstrated improved confidence in handling money, better communication with adults outside the school, and an increased awareness of the importance of local markets in daily life. They also understood how mathematical concepts are applied beyond textbooks.
It not only strengthened subject knowledge but also nurtured social and life skills, making learning more meaningful and enjoyable.



5. A visit to Vidhana Shoudha
Learners had an incredible opportunity to visit the iconic Vidhan Soudha in Bengaluru during an active session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Observing the legislative proceedings firsthand was both inspiring and educational, offering a deeper understanding of the democratic process and state-level policy-making.
This enriching experience provided our IGCSE learners with a unique glimpse into the heart of Karnataka’s political landscape—bringing classroom concepts to life in the very place where decisions shaping the state are made.
