While teachers are busily engaged in planning, preparing, and bringing school to home to children. While all these is happening, we would like to share good news that demonstrates stunning achievement of a member of Sri Vani’s teaching faculty.
We proudly present Mrs.Subhashini, Principal of Sri Vani Vidya Kendra PU and Degree College at Machohalli campus on rightfully earning a PhD in Physics. Yesterday after a long defense of her dissertation responding to ten (10) examiners from across the world darting questions at Subhashini, and after a three minute pause, examiners unanimously conferring the PhD degree. Congratulations on a proud accomplishment of steadfast focus despite the pandemic and responsibilities of building the college.
The Thesis submitted by Dr. Subhashini titled ” Influence of FE 3+ and Mn2+ ions on Structural, Thermal, Optical and Mechanical properties of mixed alkali zinc Borate Glass System” was administered under the Guidance of Prof. H D Shashikala, Material Processing Lab, Dept. of Physics, NITK and Dr. N K Udayashankar, Dept. of Physics, NITK. Surathakal, Karnataka.
Dr. Subhashini, shared her grueling experience facing the examiners, and as an icing on the cake, her Guide exclaiming, “Subhashini, your work is akin to four (4) dissertations and you have put in work worth four PhDs in one.” This proud moment is a testimony to quality teaching faculty, second to none. Dr. Subhashini has been an exemplary role model with her achievement, hard even to imagine.
