THE VEDAS SAY ‘MATHRU DEVO ‘BHAVA’– REVERE YOUR MOTHER AS GOD.
The Annual Day 2024-25 was woven around the theme ‘MATHRU DEVO ‘BHAVA, which was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students and teachers of Sri Vani Education Trust, Basaveshwaranagar, at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Malleshwaram, on 20th January 2025. The day was filled with excitement, entertainment, and lots of celebration. The guests of honor at the dais were Shri. R.H. Sharadaprasad , Hon. Chairman & Managing Trustee of SVECT; Smt. Nalini Prasad, Treasurer & Trustee of SVECT; and the chief guests Smt. Vandana Shastry, social activist, entrepreneur & environmentalist, for the morning session, and Smt. Asha Shridhar, educationalist and former Principal of SVEC, Basaveshwaranagar, for the evening session, graced the occasion. The program commenced with the lighting of the Diya, followed by our Naada Geethe by the school choir group. The chief guests congratulated the institution for taking on such an edifying topic. It was a day for our participants to reflect and thank their mother for every prayer of hers, every hug, every word of encouragement, and unconditional love.
The entire program was connected by the SUTRADHARAS– the thread holders. Our young and energetic students performed various dazzling and spectacular skits, expressive and mesmerizing dances, and the soldierly and warlike dance form Kalaripayattu.
